The Last of the Last Days Part Two

March 4th, 2010

Seeing we are in the last days, we Christians need to be stronger than ever before because the Bible clearly says in 1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”. And then in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”

For Christians it shouldn’t be business as usual. God has warned us Read the rest of this entry »

The Last of the Last Days

February 27th, 2010

Last night, in the middle of the night, my wife Julie called me while I was working security at the St. Louis Dream Center. She informed me that there were 2 more major earthquakes, one in Japan and one in Chile. I also heard this past week that the governor of Missouri was having a meeting about how they would respond if there was an earthquake at the New Madrid fault line which is located in southeast Missouri. If there ever is a large earthquake there it would affect St. Louis and the state of Missouri in a major way.

The increase in earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, etc. is what Jesus said in Matthew 24 would happen before His second return. So we need to get busy and occupy (occupy doesn’t mean occupy a church pew) Read the rest of this entry »

Mardi Gras in St. Louis

February 17th, 2010

Sunday morning, February 14th, at the St. Louis Dream Center I was with a policeman from the St. Louis Police Department and he was telling me that the St. Louis Mardi Gras celebration that took place on Saturday, February 13th had its biggest crowd ever here in St. Louis. Some others and I had passed out Gospel tracts and witnessed at that Mardi Gras celebration and I had noticed that the crowd seemed awfully large. At first it seemed discouraging that the Mardi Gras celebration was growing in numbers but the more I thought about it the more I realized that it is just a sign that people are Read the rest of this entry »

FulFill Your Destiny Part Two

January 20th, 2010

As I stated in my last post, part one of Fulfill Your Destiny, God has a special and unique plan for each and every one of us. This time I want to make a few points that will help us to see our destiny come to pass.

1. It is up to us to figure out what that plan is. We need to seek God and let Him show us what His plan is for our life. Now, keep in mind, that God will not hide His plan from you. Some day you will stand before Him and be judged on if you did His will or not. If He holds us accountable to do His will then of course He will show what His will is. We just need to seek Him with an open and willing heart to discover it

2. The next step is to write His plan down. Read the rest of this entry »

Fulfill Your Destiny

January 8th, 2010

It is encouraging to know that God has a great plan and destiny for each and every one of us for 2010 and beyond. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans that I have for you, saith the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.”

You may say, “Well, I have been waiting longer than most people to see my destiny come to pass.” Well it could be because God has such good things and big things for you that you have to go through a longer training and preparation time. But whatever the case God has a unique and special plan for you and no one else has the particular plan that you have. So it is important Read the rest of this entry »

Tulsa Farm Show Outreach

December 19th, 2009

My son, Tommy, and I just completed our last out of town outreach of the year in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We ministered for 3 days at the Tulsa Farm Show working with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers. Tommy and I prayed with a lot of young people to be saved but there were also several very elderly people that prayed with me to receive Jesus into their lives.

The ministry highlight of the trip for me was when a teenage girl came smiling all the way down the aisle and asked me several times with a big grin if I remembered her. I have ministered to so many kids this past year that I really didn’t remember her but she said that I prayed with her to be saved at the Tulsa Farm Show last year. I asked her if she was still following Jesus and she said that she was. (The look of joy on her face evidenced that she was telling the truth.)

When we get saved it is the most special moment of our lives. Read the rest of this entry »

2009 National FFA Convention

November 11th, 2009

For the 5th year in a row I traveled to the National Future Farmers of America Annual Convention to share the Gospel with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers. This year I was blessed to take 2 Ministry Academy students with me to Indianapolis where the convention was held. They are both in their early 20’s and so they could really relate to the FFA kids and they also added a lot of energy to the outreach. They, as well as others in our group, prayed with many Read the rest of this entry »

On Our Way to Shiprock, New Mexico

October 1st, 2009

Be praying for me as I take 5 students from the Ministry Academy of the St. Louis Dream Center (SLDC) to the Northern Navajo Nation Fair in Shiprock, New Mexico to minister to the Navajos. I am excited that God has opened up the door for me to bring these students because I feel like part of my ministry is to train people in evangelism. On Friday nights I am able to do this as a route leader for the Street Ministry in North St. Louis and now I am able to do it on a missions trip. This is a great opportunity to train young adults in mission work.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the good things that God is going to do at this outreach. On Monday I met with the students and we put together over 500 salvation bracelets to use as a ministry tool to reach the Navajos of all ages; the children, gothic teenagers and adults. Don’t Be Afraid of Their Faces

September 15th, 2009

In Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 8 God tells Jeremiah the prophet to not be afraid of their faces and then in verse 17 He tells him not to be dismayed at their faces. In between those 2 instructions in verse 9 God gives Jeremiah the words to speak. I believe the reason that God sandwiched His words between admonitions to not be afraid or dismayed of their faces is that it is important to not be moved by how people look. If you are afraid of their faces you might be intimidated and then not speak God’s words but your own words. If we speak our own words and not God’s words then we will not see the fruit that we could have.
